Who it's for

Is a chemical peel right for you?

Peels are the workhorse for concerns that live in the skin's surface: dullness, uneven tone, dark spots, breakouts and the marks they leave, fine surface lines. Depth is the decision that matters (a light peel freshens with barely a flake, a deeper one trades a real peeling week for a real result), and we match depth to your skin and your calendar. If your concern lives deeper than a peel reaches, we'll say so and point you to what does.

  • Dull, tired-looking skin that wants brightness back
  • Dark spots, uneven tone and post-acne marks
  • Active breakouts and congested skin
  • Fine surface lines and rough patches

How a chemical peel works & what to expect

  1. Consult & match. We assess your skin, your concern and your calendar, then choose the peel and depth to fit all three.

  2. Treat. Cleanse, prep, apply: a few minutes of warmth and tingling, about 30 minutes in total.

  3. Renew. Light peels flake subtly for a few days; deeper peels visibly shed for up to a week. What emerges is the result.

What to know

Chemical peel risks, downtime & aftercare

Expect warmth and tingling during application, then tightness and flaking or peeling for 3–7 days depending on depth. Skin that is genuinely shedding needs to be left alone (no picking) and protected with SPF, non-negotiably. Deeper peels on deeper skin tones require the right product choices to avoid post-inflammatory pigmentation; matching peel to skin tone is part of the assessment, not an afterthought.

Light peels vs deeper peels

A light peel is the lunchtime version, our PCA peels: a subtle flake at most, and a brightness that shows in days; the peel to book before an event or as a monthly rhythm. A deeper peel (the VI Peel, which we offer for face, neck and body) works harder: several days of visible peeling in exchange for real movement on dark spots, texture and fine lines. Neither is "better": they solve different problems on different timelines, and plenty of patients use both across a year.

Peels for acne & dark spots

Salicylic-based peels reach into the pore where acne actually starts, clearing congestion, calming active breakouts and fading the brown or red marks that linger after them. For stubborn pigment, peels pair naturally with a series plan and daily SPF; the spots faded by a peel come straight back if the sun that made them goes unopposed.

Pricing

How pricing works for a chemical peel

Peel pricing depends on which peel you get, which is also the depth: lighter PCA peels sit at the accessible end, and the deeper VI Peel costs more and delivers more. The right depth for your skin and timeline (and its exact price) is set at your complimentary consultation before anything is applied.

We also offer several ways to spread treatment costs over time, including buy-now-pay-later plans. Ask about financing at your consultation.

Common questions

Chemical peel FAQs

Will I visibly peel?

Depends on depth and on your skin. Light peels often just flake subtly for a couple of days; many patients don’t visibly peel at all. Deeper peels can shed noticeably for up to a week, but all skin is different, and not peeling doesn’t mean the peel isn’t working. We’ll tell you what to expect before you book.

Does a chemical peel burn?

You’ll feel warmth and tingling for a few minutes during application; it’s brisk but very tolerable, and we’re watching your skin the whole time. It’s not the ordeal the name suggests.

How many peels will I need?

One light peel delivers a real glow, and pigment, acne marks and texture respond best to a series spaced a few weeks apart. The way we put it: one is a treat, three is a treatment, six is a transformation.

Are peels safe for darker skin tones?

Yes, with the right ingredients and depths. Some peels can trigger pigmentation in deeper skin tones, which is exactly why the peel is chosen after looking at your skin, not off a menu. It’s a match we make carefully and often.

How close to an event can I peel?

A light peel: a week out is comfortable. A medium-depth peel: give it three to four weeks so shedding is fully behind you. Tell us the date and we’ll work backward from it.
