Crow's Feet Treatment in Roswell

The little lines that fan out from the corners of your eyes when you smile. Over time, they stay there when you don't. Here's what causes them and what actually helps.

What's going on

What causes crow's feet?

Every smile, squint and laugh contracts the orbicularis oculi, the muscle circling your eye. Decades of that movement crease the thin skin at the outer corners, and because that skin is among the most delicate on your face, it shows lines earlier than your forehead or cheeks.

Sun exposure and collagen loss speed things up: UV breaks down the elastin that lets skin snap back, so dynamic lines (visible only when you move) gradually become static lines (visible at rest). Which stage you're in determines the right treatment. That's the first thing we assess.

Common questions

Crow's Feet FAQ

At what age do crow's feet start?

It varies: some people see faint lines in their late 20s, others not until their 40s. Sun exposure, genetics and expressiveness matter more than the number. Treating early, when lines are dynamic, keeps them from settling in.

Will Botox fix crow's feet that show without smiling?

Partially. Botox stops the creasing motion, but a line that's visible at rest has etched into the skin itself. Those usually need a skin treatment (microneedling or resurfacing) layered with Botox. We'll tell you which stage you're in at your consult.

Can I prevent them instead of treating them?

Largely, yes: daily SPF, sunglasses (less squinting), and for many patients small preventive Botox doses before lines set. Prevention is a legitimate plan and we support it.

Will I still look like myself when I smile?

Yes. The dose is mapped to how you want your smile to look. Most patients keep natural movement around the eyes; if you’d rather have maximum smoothing, we dose for that instead.
