Frown & Forehead Line Treatment in Roswell

The horizontal lines across your forehead, and the vertical "11s" that dig in between your brows: the lines that make people ask if you're tired or annoyed when you're neither. Here's what causes them and what actually helps.

What's going on

What causes forehead wrinkles and frown lines?

Two muscles do the writing. The frontalis, the big vertical muscle of the forehead, lifts your brows tens of thousands of times a year, folding the skin above them into horizontal rows. The corrugators pull your brows together when you concentrate, squint at a screen or walk into sun, carving the vertical "11s" between them.

Young skin snaps back after every expression; as collagen and elastin decline, the creases start to linger, and dynamic lines (visible only in motion) gradually become static lines (visible at rest). Sun exposure accelerates the whole timeline. Which stage you're in decides the right treatment, and it's the first thing we assess.

Common questions

Frown & Forehead Lines FAQ

How does Botox help forehead wrinkles?

Forehead lines are creases made by muscle movement. Botox relaxes that movement, so the folding stops and the lines smooth over the following days. Dose and injection points set the result: anywhere from softened-but-expressive to fully smooth, mapped to your goal.

What are the "11 lines" and why are mine so deep?

The two vertical lines between your brows, made by the corrugator muscles every time you concentrate or squint. They're often the first lines to show because those muscles are strong, close to the surface, and fire constantly: screens and sunlight keep them busy.

Will treating my forehead make me look surprised or flat?

Only if the dose is wrong for your goal. Brow position depends on the balance between muscles, which is exactly what the mapping at your consult works out. Tell us what you want your face to do, and the dose follows.

My lines show even when my face is relaxed. Is it too late for Botox?

Not too late, but Botox alone may not finish the job right away. It stops the creasing going deeper, and with regular treatment even etched-in lines often soften over time. Deeper lines may need collagen rebuilding (microneedling, peels) layered on top; we'll tell you which stage you're in at your consult.

Can I prevent forehead lines instead of treating them?

Yes: daily SPF, sunglasses that stop the squint, and for many patients small preventive Botox doses before lines settle in. Prevention is a legitimate plan and we support it.
