Who it's for
Is PRF right for you?
PRF builds improvement rather than placing it: it regenerates skin quality and volume gradually using your own biology, where filler adds volume instantly with a gel. It's where we prefer to start for most under-eyes: it treats the thin, crepey or darker skin filler can't, and it avoids the complications filler can bring to this area, like the Tyndall effect and lingering swelling. If your hollows are deep and structural, filler is the step up, and we'll say so.
- Tired-looking, thin or crepey under-eye skin
- Dark circles with a skin-quality component
- Mild hollowing you’d rather rebuild than fill
- A preference for nothing synthetic
How PRF works & what to expect
Draw & spin. A small blood draw, spun gently to concentrate platelets and growth factors into golden PRF.
Treat. The PRF is injected beneath the under-eye skin with a cannula: numbed, precise, a few minutes of actual treatment.
Rebuild. Growth factors release over days and skin rebuilds over 4–8 weeks. Most plans run 2–3 sessions, a month apart.
What to know
PRF risks, downtime & aftercare
Because PRF is your own blood product, allergic reaction is essentially off the table. The risks are procedural: swelling for a day or two and possible bruising at the draw and injection sites. Results build gradually and vary with your own biology; PRF rewards patience and a completed series, and we set that expectation at the consult.
PRP vs PRF: what’s the difference?
Same idea, second generation. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) spins blood fast with an anticoagulant, releasing growth factors in a quick burst. PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) spins slower with no additives, producing a natural fibrin matrix that releases growth factors gradually over days: more sustained signal, more white cells, no additives. For delicate areas like under-eyes, that slow release is why PRF has largely superseded PRP, and it's what we use.
Do you have volume loss?
The same draw can be prepared as a thicker, volumizing gel instead: plasma filler, which holds shape where it is placed rather than releasing as a liquid. Skin quality is PRF's job; missing volume you want treated naturally is plasma filler's. The consult settles which fits your under-eyes, and plenty of plans use both.
Pricing
How pricing works for PRF
PRF is priced per session, with series pricing for the 2–3 session plans most under-eyes call for. Each session includes the draw, preparation and treatment. Exact numbers at your complimentary consultation, before you commit to anything.
We also offer several ways to spread treatment costs over time, including buy-now-pay-later plans. Ask about financing at your consultation.
Common questions
PRF FAQs
PRF or under-eye filler: how do I choose?
Rough guide: PRF for skin quality, crepiness and dark circles, built gradually and with fewer complications in this delicate area; filler for deeper structural hollows and instant results. Most under-eyes do well starting with PRF, with filler later only if still needed. The assessment is free and we’ll give you a straight recommendation.
Is this the "vampire facial" thing?
Same family. That trend name refers to PRP applied with microneedling across the face. Under-eye PRF is the more targeted cousin: injected, not needled in, and aimed at one area. If full-face is your goal, we pair microneedling with exosomes.
How many sessions will I need?
Two to three, spaced about a month apart, is the typical arc: your own biology does the building, and it compounds across sessions. You’ll see the direction by session two.
When will I see results?
The first change usually reads at four to eight weeks after a session (brighter, thicker, less crepey skin), with the full series result a couple of months after your last visit. PRF is the patient investor’s treatment.
How long do results last?
Because PRF builds your own tissue rather than placing a product, results fade with natural aging rather than on a product clock. Most patients refresh with a single session every 9–12 months.
